NOTICE:

The Fitness Centre will be closed on Thursday June 20 and Friday June 21 for maintenance.

 

360 Circuit Training
(16+ yrs)

A fun and innovative group training class including cardiovascular and strength exercises for a full body workout. Synergy 360 stations include TRX training systems, cables, power pivot and more! Our instructor will provide motivation and monitor technique so everyone can get an efficient and effective workout. Space is limited. Drop ins if space permits.

Seniors Weight
Training (50+ yrs)

The first half of this session is spent strengthening and toning muscles in the Fitness Centre. The last half of this session focuses on stretching and strengthening your core muscles.
Free but please pre-register.

Book an appointment with one of our fitness staff and a beginner’s exercise program can get you going in the right direction. The personalized workout is
designed by qualified staff and you’ll be shown how to perform these exercises. Call 604-257-3065.

Let us help you reach your fitness goals. Enlist one of our staff to get you started in the fitness centre with an orientation on our fitness equipment and a starter fitness program. Please call ahead to make an appointment for a fitness orientation.

Creative Neighbourhood Mapping Workshop
Are you interested in using art and creativity to explore and document the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood? Would you like to work together with other community members to create a map of local landmarks, points of interest, and places that are important to you? Join us for this fun and welcoming hands-on creative project! All ages; children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

529 Bike Lock
Loaner Program

 

In partnership with Project 529, the Vancouver Police Department, City of Vancouver and Vancouver Park Board are piloting a free bike lock loaner program.

Abus bike locks will be available at Creekside, False Creek and Mount Pleasant community centres during operating hours as long as the customers have met the following conditions:

-produced ID
-have a OneCard with photo in ActiveNet
-signed a waiver

The lock and key must be returned within 24 hours in good condition.

These two young business men
(Caleb and Micah) set up a lemonade stand in Dude Chillin Park in the end of May and raised $112 to save the cedar wood sculpture.
