Offering Enriching Preschool Programs for 2, 3 and 4 year olds

Our Licensed Preschool programs are emergent, child-led and follow an integrated approach to learning.  Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment and learning experiences that promote wonder and challenge curiosities based on the interests of the children while fostering life-long learning.

Registration Dates and How to Register

Registration for 21/22 School years is ongoing. Please contact Vera.lara@vancouver.ca to inquire about spaces available

In order to register we require:

  • Visa or Mastercard for pre-authorized monthly payments
  • June Security Deposit  (1 month fee)
  • $50 non-refundable registration fee

City of Vancouver – Parks Board Account:

If you do not have an on-line account already you will need to set this up at least 48 hours before registration day.  Please visit www.ca.apm.activecommunities.com/vancouver/ to create an account.  Please make yourself comfortable with the on-line registration process.  If you are still not comfortable, we would suggest you come #1 Kingsway before registration day and have a front desk attendant walk you through it so you will be comfortable on registration day.

Registration FAQ’s
  • Is the $50 non-refundable registration fee required?
    • Yes. When registering online there is a separate activity number for this fee.  Please register for your desired class, then go back and register separately for this fee.
  • Can I register my child in more than one class?
    • Yes, at the discretion of MPCCA. Please note, due to childcare licensing, your child cannot attend more than 4 hours per day.
  • Age Restrictions
  • Children must meet the correct age requirements listed. If your child does not meet the specific age requirement, we will withdraw your child from the program and issue a refund.

2 yrs old – must turn 2 years old by December 31st, of the year they are registering in.
3 yrs old – must turn 3 years old by December 31st, of the year they are registering in.
4 yrs old – must turn 4 years old by December 31st, of the year they are registering in.

Our Qualified Educators

We are proud to have excellent Early Childhood Educators (ECE/IT/SN) who are certified by the BC government, meet Provincial Child Care Licensing Regulation and maintain a valid First Aid Certificate.

Qualified substitute staff are called in when teachers are away for reasons of illness or vacation

Child to staff rations are 10:1 as determined by Child Care Licensing.

Affordable Child Care Benefit

The Province of British Columbia is committed to helping families obtain affordable child care. The Affordable Child Care Benefit is a monthly payment to assist eligible British Columbia families with the cost of child care. Monthly benefit payments vary depending on your family’s circumstances.

Inclusion Policy

It is important that each child is successful in the program and that we can meet the needs of your child and the entire group. If your child requires extra support please email Jasleen.chahal@vancouver.ca to discuss their needs.​

Withdrawal Policy

Families must give one month’s written notice (or e-mail to vera.lara@vancouver.ca​) to the Preschool Teachers when withdrawing their child from the Preschool program.  Families are required to give notice by the first calendar day of the month.  For example, if you decide to withdraw your child from the program for September 1st, then you must give one month’s notice on or before August 1st.  Withdrawal notices are not permitted for the months of May and June.  April is the last month to withdrawal, which means your withdraw notice would have to be in by April 1.
