The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation is planning a new half-block urban park for the Mount Pleasant community at the intersection of Main Street and 7th Avenue. This new urban park sits at the gateway to Mount Pleasant, one of Vancouver’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, and its design will strive to reflect the needs of the area. There are a number of existing parks nearby that allow different activities, like playgrounds and sports courts, and with events like Mural Festival and Car Free Day growing every year we hope the new park can be a flexible staging place for community events and all-season programming.
What’s happening?
We are seeking input on the proposed concept design developed with the feedback and ideas received in the Phase 1 engagement. Please see the Phase 2 Engagement Booklet(External link) for the proposed park design and let us know what you think, by taking the survey before December 21, 2022.
Join us at our open house at Mount Pleasant Community Centre on December 8, 2022 from 5pm to 8pm to review the boards, ask questions, and share your feedback.
