Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. 4-hour mandatory online component pre-requisite, 4.5 hours in class instruction. Emergency First Aid (Intermediate) with CPR C/AED 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM | $160 Comprehensive "two-day" course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. 8-hour mandatory online component pre-requisite, 7.5 hours in class instruction. ]]> PETITION TO SUPPORT & FUND MOUNT PLEASANT OUTDOOR POOL Mount Pleasant Outdoor Pool was demolished in 2009 with a Commitment to replace it, and was included in the Vancouver Park Board’s Aquatic Strategy in 2019, after a 3 year consultation, but it is still not funded! With the increasingly hot and dry summers outdoor pools are needed more than ever. Vancouver is severely deficient in outdoor pools compared to other municipalities in Canada. Currently the only full-sized outdoor pools are on the north side on waterfronts not easily accessible to the majority of residents. The centre and south of the city bear most of the deficit in outdoor pools. This is not equitable! We are disappointed that Mount Pleasant’s outdoor pool did not receive any funding in the 2027-2030 Capital Plan. The current position of the board seems to be that community outdoor swimming pools are not a priority! Mount Pleasant Community Centre will hold an all candidates debate on September 23, 2026 prior to the Municipal Election. Please attend and ask candidates about their positions and policies on a Mount Pleasant pool.

We have three aerobic drop-in classes a week.

 

Pay as you go (drop-in $6.30*) or purchase 10 strip tickets or 1 or 3 month pass.

TUESDAYS

Step and Core (16+ yrs)
Instructor: Kristiina Oinonen
This aerobics class for those who want to increase their muscular endurance as well as challenge their cardiovascular system. Choreographed patterns followed by strength training with weights and a core mat work and stretch to finish.
Drop-in $6.30*

WEDNESDAYS

Step and Strength (16+ yrs)
Instructor: Marilyn Wittman
A class with easy to follow step patterns. Alternating cardio training with resistance and strength work. Drop-in $6.30*
Wednesdays  6:30 PM-7:30 PM

THURSDAYS

Hi Lo Combo (16+ yrs)
Instructor: Tracy Ross
This moderate workout combines high and low impact moves in a fun and challenging way. Set your own pace by choosing high or low! A short strength component and stretch to finish off the class. Drop-in $6.30*
Thursdays  5:30 PM-6:25 PM
