This year’s Orange Shirt Day selected design was created by Métis artist Michael Edward Nardachioni from the White Wolf Clan. An art teacher at the Carnegie Learning Centre, he describes his artwork, titled An Indigenous History, as “A hand has a feather made out like silhouettes of birds, ravens/doves, indicating souls at peace and freedom of children.”
